Saints celebrated on the 4th of June
SAINT FRANCIS CARACCIOLO, FOUNDER
Today, we also commemorate Saint Francis Caracciolo. The Roman Martyrology states:
"At Agnone, in Abruzzo, Saint Francis, of the noble Neapolitan family of the Caracciolos, confessor, and founder of the Congregation of the Minor Clerks Regular, who burned with an admirable love of God and his neighbour, and a most ardent desire to propagate devotion to the most holy Eucharist. His body is religiously honoured at Naples. He was inscribed on the catalogue of the saints by Pius VII."
PRAYER:
Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saint Francis Caracciolo may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
