Saints celebrated on the 12th of September
SAINT HIERONIDES AND COMPANIONS, MARTYRS
Today, we also commemorate Saint Hieronides and Companions. The Roman Martyrology states:
"At Alexandria, in the time of the emperor Maximinus, the birthday of the holy martyrs Hieronides, Leontius, Serapion, Selesius, Valerian, and Straton, who were drowned in the sea for the confession of the name of Christ."
PRAYER:
Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saints Hieronides, Leontius, Serapion, Selesius, Valerian, and Straton may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
