Saints celebrated on the 3rd of July
SAINT HYACINTHUS, MARTYR
Today, we also commemorate Saint Hyacinthus. The Roman Martyrology states:
"At Caesarea, in Cappadocia, Saint Hyacinthus, chamberlain of the emperor Trajan. Accused of being a Christian, he was scourged and thrown into prison, where, consumed with hunger, he breathed his last."
PRAYER:
Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saint Hyacinthus may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
