Saints celebrated on the 1st of August
SAINT LEONTIUS AND COMPANIONS, MARTYRS
Today, we also commemorate Saint Leontius and Companions. The Roman Martyrology states:
"At Pergen, in Pamphylia, the holy martyrs Leontius, Attius, Alexander, and six husbandmen, who were beheaded in the persecution of Diocletian, under the governor Flavian."
PRAYER:
Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saints Leontius, Attius, Alexander, and Companions may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
