Saints celebrated on the 23rd of September
SAINT LINUS, POPE AND MARTYR
Today, we also commemorate Saint Linus. The Roman Martyrology states:
"At Rome, Saint Linus, pope and martyr, who governed the Roman church next after the blessed apostle Peter. He was crowned with martyrdom, and buried on the Vatican hill beside the same apostle."
PRAYER:
Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saint Linus may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
