Saints celebrated on the 13th of May
SAINT LUCIUS, PRIEST AND MARTYR
Today, we also commemorate Saint Lucius. The Roman Martyrology states:
"At Constantinople, under the emperor Diocletian and the proconsul Laudicius, the blessed Lucius, a priest and martyr, who first at Amphipolis endured many tribulations and torments for the confession of Christ, and then being led to Byzantium, suffered capital punishment."
PRAYER:
Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saint Lucius may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
