Saints celebrated on the 10th of June
SAINT MAXIMUS, BISHOP AND MARTYR
Today, we also commemorate Saint Maximus. The Roman Martyrology states:
"At Naples, in Campania, Saint Maximus, bishop and martyr. For having vigorously defended the Nicene Creed, he was sent by the same emperor Constantius into exile, where he died worn out by his trials."
PRAYER:
Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saint Maximus may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
