Saints celebrated on the 2nd of August
SAINT MAXIMUS, BISHOP OF PADUA
Today, we also commemorate Saint Maximus. The Roman Martyrology states:
"At Padua, Saint Maximus, bishop of that city, who ended his blessed life in peace, with a reputation for miracles."
PRAYER:
Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saint Maximus may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
