Saints celebrated on the 3rd of June
SAINT PAULA, VIRGIN AND MARTYR
Today, we also commemorate Saint Paula. The Roman Martyrology states:
"In the same city [Constantinople], Saint Paula, virgin and martyr, who was arrested whilst gathering the blood of the martyrs just mentioned, beaten with rods, and thrown into the fire, from which she was delivered. Finally, when Saint Lucillian had been crucified, she was decapitated."
PRAYER:
Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saint Paula may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
