Saints celebrated on the 5th of June
SAINT SANCTUS, MARTYR
Today, we also commemorate Saint Sanctus. The Roman Martyrology states:
"At Cordova [Cordoba] in Spain, blessed Sanctus, a youth, who, though brought up in the royal court, did not hesitate to undergo martyrdom for the faith of Christ, during the persecution of the Arabs."
PRAYER:
Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saint Sanctus may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
