Saints celebrated on the 8th of June
SAINT WILLIAM, ARCHBISHOP OF YORK
Today, we also commemorate Saint William. The Roman Martyrology states:
"At York, in England, Saint William, archbishop and confessor, who, among other miracles wrought at his tomb, raised three persons from the dead. He was placed in the calendar of the Saints by Honorius III."
PRAYER:
Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saint William may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
