Saints celebrated on the 11th of July
SAINTS JANUARIUS AND PELAGIA, MARTYRS
Today, we also commemorate Saints Januarius and Pelagia. The Roman Martyrology states:
"At Nicopolis, in Armenia, the birthday of the holy martyrs Januarius and Pelagia, who for four days were racked, torn with iron claws and pieces of earthenware, and thus achieved their martyrdom."
PRAYER:
Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saints Januarius and Pelagia may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
