Saints celebrated on the 22nd of June
THE TRANSLATION OF SAINT FLAVIUS CLEMENS
Today, we also commemorate The Translation of Saint Flavius Clemens. The Roman Martyrology states:
"At Rome, the translation of Saint Flavius Clemens, ex-consul and martyr, who was put to death for the faith of Christ by the emperor Domitian. His body was found in the basilica of pope St. Clement, and buried there with great pomp."
PRAYER:
Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of The Translation of Saint Flavius Clemens may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
