Saints celebrated on the 25th of October
SAINTS PROTUS AND JANUARIUS, MARTYRS
Today, we also commemorate Saints Protus and Januarius. The Roman Martyrology states:
"At Torres, in Sardinia, the holy martyrs Protus, priest, and Januarius, deacon, who, being sent to that island by pope Saint Caius, were put to death, under the governor Barbarus, in the reign of Diocletian."
PRAYER:
Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saints Protus and Januarius may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
