  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN MARCH Saints celebrated on the 12th of March WELCOME! SAINT PETER AND COMPANIONS, MARTYRS At Nicomedia, Saint Peter (Petrus Cubicularius), chamberlain to the emperor Diocletian, the priest Migdonius, another Migdonius, Euticius ( Eunenus ), Maxima (Maximus), the virgin Donata (Domna), Ruginus, Marius, Smaragdus, Hilarius, Evengulus (Vingelosinus), Quirinus, Mareasus, Nestor, Eugenius, Dorotheus, Gorgonius and Matulus (Marulus) all attained the martyrdom in the year 302. Several of these were imperial officials.  The Emperor Diocletian had idols carried into his palace and the Christians brought before them to sacrifice to them. Since they refused, he had some beaten with ox sinews and lead butts, others hung up and mauled, still others skinned. Everyone remained firm in the faith. Dorotheus and Gorgonius are also venerated by the Greeks (on September 9). The Roman Martyrology * just mentions Saint Peter  on March 12, but none of his Companions...

    ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN MARCH Saints celebrated on the 7th of March SAINT EPHREM, BISHOP AND MARTYR Saint Ephrem (Ephraem) was a bishop and martyr in the Crimea (Chersonesus Taurica). His death for the holy faith occurred in the early 4th century.  The Bollandists * list Basileus, Eugenius, Agathodorus, Elpidius, Aetherius and Capitus as his companions in suffering; the Roman Martyrology * features the same fellow martyrs  along with Saint Ephrem on March 4, but mention two further saints, Nestor and Arcadius, and name Basilius instead of Basileus.   ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN MARCH Saints celebrated on the 7th of March SAINTS NESTOR AND ARCADIUS, BISHOPS According to the Greek Meneae *, Saints Nestor and Arcadius, two bishops of Trimethus on the island of Cyprus, went to their eternal reward on the same day. In what century they lived cannot be determined. (I. 643 and 644). These holy bishops are also commemorated on March 4. SAINT NESTOR OF MAGYDOS, BISHOP AND MARTYR   Saint Nestor, a holy bishop of Magydis (Magydos, Maiylus) died a martyr at Perge on Kestros in Pamphylia.
