(1693) Next to nothing has been handed down to us regarding these holy men and women. They are mentioned in the older Roman Martyrology of  Saint Jerome *. Saints Mammas, Emasia, Nazarius, Maximus, Paul, Tatiana, Nesia, Siriana and Eutatus were killed for steadfastly confessing the faith. Perhaps Justinus and Nonnus are also part of this group of martyrs. (IV. 222). The Roman Martyrology states:  "At Edessa, Saint Nonnus, bishop, by whose prayers the  penitent Pelagia was converted to Christ."
