ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN MARCH Saints celebrated on the 4th of March WELCOME! SAINT OWEN, RELIGIOUS Saint Owen ( Owinus , Oswinus ), an Anglo-Saxon monk, was initially the steward of the holy queen Ethelreda , but renounced the world and entered the convent at Lasting. When Abbot Ceadda [ St Chad ] became Bishop of Litchfield, Owen accompanied him to this city and remained under his leadership until 672. It is uncertain how long he lived after that. In any case, he is said to have never become a cleric. His veneration has been established since time immemorial.
