SAINT PAUL LE-BAO-TINH, PRIEST AND MARTYR - 6 APRIL

  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN APRIL Saints celebrated on the 6th of April WELCOME! SAINT PAUL LE-BAO-TINH, PRIEST AND MARTYR [Saint Paul Le-Bao-Tinh, priest and martyr] Paul  (Paulus),  martyred in Cochin China [Vietnam] in 1857, was beheaded at the age of 76. When he was led to be executed, the Upper Mandarin took him aside and, with assurances of respect, offered this holy Christian to spare his life if he would renounce his religion. “Upper Mandarin,” Paulus Tingh replied, “my body is in your hands, do with it what you will - but my soul belongs to God! Nothing can induce me to sacrifice them to the Emperor's wish.'  (Marshall, I. 240). SAINTS REVERIAN AND PAUL, MARTYRS - 1 JUNE

  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN JUNE Saints celebrated on the 1st of June SAINTS REVERIAN AND PAUL, MARTYRS Today, we also commemorate Saints Reverian, Paul, and their Companions. The Roman Martyrology states:  "At Autun, the Saints Reverian, bishop, and Paul, priest. with ten others, who were crowned with martyrdom under the emperor Aurelian." PRAYER: Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saints Reverian and Paul and their Companions may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

ST PAUL LE-BAO-TINH, PRIEST AND MARTYR - 6 APRIL

  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN APRIL Saints celebrated on the 6th of April WELCOME! SAINT PAUL LE-BAO-TINH, PRIEST AND MARTYR Saint Paul Le-Bao-Tinh, priest and martyr, was born in Trinh Ha Thanh Hoa, Vietnam. He converted to the Catholic faith and, after his studies, was ordained priest. He wrote a Catechism. St Paul was beheaded for the Catholic faith on April 6, 1857 (in Hanoi). He was beatified by Pope Pius X and canonised by Pope John Paul II. PRAYER: Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that we who celebrate the anniversary of the death of your holy martyr Paul Le-Bao-Tinh may by his intercession be delivered from all evils that threaten us. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.
