  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN JANUARY Saints celebrated on the 27th of January SAINT MISSURIAN AND COMPANIONS, MARTYRS The Old Martyrology of Saint Jerome * mentions Saint Missurian and Companions (Missurianus et Soc. M.M.) on January 27. They suffered in Africa.  These are the holy martyrs' names: Missurianus, Publia , Victor , Quintillus , Publianus , Festus , Felix , Bonosus , Processus , Veneria , Marina , Fortunata , Tecussa , Godditis , Secundus,  Epictulus (Epictula), Vincent , Rogatus, Primus , Aurelius , Hilary ,  Perpetua and Juliana . There are a further 24 unnamed Companions. (II. 769) Morcellus* Martyrology Eccl. Afric. adds Avitus and Donatus to the list of these holy martyrs.   ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN OCTOBER Saints celebrated on the 9th of October SAINT PUBLIA, ABBESS Today, we also commemorate Saint Publia. The Roman Martyrology states:  "At Antioch, Saint Publia, abbess, who, whilst Julian the Apostate was passing by, sang with her religious these words of David : "The idols of the Gentiles are silver and gold;" and: "Let them that make them, become like unto them." By the command of the emperor, she was struck on the face and severely rebuked." PRAYER: Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saint Publia may increase our devotion and promote our salvation.
