  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN SEPTEMBER Saints celebrated on the 29th of September WELCOME! SAINT CYRIACUS, ABBOT Saint Cyriacus  (September 29), abbot of the ancient Laura (called Suka in Syriac) in Palestine, was born in Corinth, Greece, in 448. At the Laura of  Saint Euthymius in Palestine he received his monastic habit. There he distinguished himself through the rigor of his life, his orthodoxy in the dispute with the Origenists, and his gift for miracles. He died at an advanced age in 556. SAINT QUIRIACUS, MARTYR OF OSTIA Today, we also commemorate Saint Quiriacus (a bishop), a companion of  Saint Censurinus . SAINT QUIRIACUS AND 272 COMPANIONS During the reign of the emperor Diocletian, Saints Quiriacus, the tribune Blastus, Diogenes, Aena, Nicander, Dorostolus, Eusicius, Aquila, Cantianus and 262 others; also Longinus and the priest John, suffered martyrdom in Rome. By the way, there are many varieties regarding these names. The Roman Martyrology * lists only  262 martyrs  [on March 25 ] without providing any names .
