  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN AUGUST Saints celebrated on the 1st of August WELCOME! SAINT BONUS AND COMPANIONS, MARTYRS Saints Bonus, Faustus, Maurus, Primitivus, Calumniosus, John, Exuperius, Cyril, Theodorus, Basil, Castelus and Honoratus were martyrs in Rome. The Roman Martyrology * mentions just  Bonus, Faustus and Maurus by name, adding that nine others suffered with them. The Roman Martyrology states:  "Also the holy martyrs Theodorus and Pausilippus, who suffered under the emperor Adrian." PRAYER: Grant to your Church, we beseech you, O Lord, through the intercession of your holy martyrs Theodorus and Pausilippus, not to think high-mindedly, but to grow in humility pleasing to you; that, despising what is base, she may with unbounded love diligently do whatever is right. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
