WIPERT, BISHOP OF RATZEBURG
Wipert of Blücher (Wipert von Blücher) was made bishop of Ratzeburg (Germany) in 1356, although he did not belong to the Premonstratensian order like the other bishops of Ratzeburg.
HE LED HIS DIOCESE WITH GREAT WISDOM
He was the successor of Otto von Gronow. He led his diocese with great wisdom and knew how to keep neighbours striving for church property in check. Wipert died in 1376 and was buried in the Ratzeburg Cathedral. His successor was Heinrich II von Wittorf.
