ST HILLIDIUS, BISHOP OF CLERMONT
Saint Hillidius, also Allydius, Illidius, French: Saint Allyre, was bishop of Clermont (Clermont-Ferrand) in Auvergne, where there is an abbey of his name (St-Alyre), which is located in a suburb named after him.
According to the Bollandists, St Hillidius cured the daughter of Emperor Maximus who was possessed by demons. The emperor was residing in Trier and is therefore also known by the name Trevericus.
St Hillidius died on June 5, 385.

PRAYER:
May the intercession of the blessed Bishop Hillidius commend us to you, so that through his merits we may obtain that which we cannot accomplish by our own. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
