HOR, HERMIT
Hor, also called ("Saint Or") was a hermit who is mentioned by both St Jerome and Rufinus.
According to Elenchus*, he lived on Mount Nitria and is said to have paid homage to the errors of Origen for a while.
In their entry on August 7 the Bollandists* call him "Saint Or," but do not agree with the title "saint" which they found in the Greek meneae.
(Hor is also commemorated on March 29 and November 28.)
