PETER OF LODI, MONK

Peter of Lodi, a Capuchin at Rheinfelden, died there in 1613 with a reputation for holiness. 

Educated in the school of mortification, he was accustomed to speak only when sacred things were discussed. He had become quite inward, so to speak, and preferred to associate only with God. 

In order to convince the heretics of the truth of the Catholic religion, he took glowing objects in his hands twice, for which he was accused of being magician by them. (Burg.)
