SAINT BARTIUS, BISHOP OF VAIZON
Saint Bartius (Barsius), a bishop of Vaizon (Vasio) in the French territory of Venaissin (Vindauscum), succeeded St Quinidius (February 15) on the episcopal chair. St Bartius died in A.D. 578 after a reign of about three years.
According to Migne*, however, he succeeded St Quinidius in A.D. 579 and died towards the end of the 6th century; the Bollandists* do not confirm this, though.
