SAINT BERTICHAM, BISHOP OF ORKNEY

Saint Berticham (Bertichamus), Bercam in French, was Bishop of the Orcades, an archipelago on the north side of Scotland (Orkney Islands). He flourished in the first half of the 9th century and died in 840. He is venerated at Quircouaille in Scotland. (Mg.)
