SAINT BERTRAND OF GRANDSELVE, ABBOT

Saint Bertrand, abbot of the monastery of Grandselve (Grandis silva) near Toulouse, of the Order of Cìteaux, shone like a new star straight from heaven by his excellent example. He died in the Lord in 1170. He was promoted to sainthood soon after his death. Migne* mentions him on November 14. (Some sources list St Bertrand's feast day on November 20.)
