Saints celebrated on the 22 May
SAINT HELENA OF AUXERRE, VIRGIN
Saint Helena was a virgin born in Auxerre at the time of Bishop Amator (died around the year 418). She shone with her virtues and miracles. Details of her life have not come down to us. According to Saussayus, quoted by the Bollandists*, the translation of her relics is celebrated at Auxerre on June 20. But they remark that her feast day is on May 22, and that her veneration as a saint is very old.
