SAINT HELENUS OF ARCIS, HERMIT

Saint Helenus, also called Helynus, was a hermit who lived in the 7th century at Arcis in Champagne. He is said to have fasted very severely and to once have carried fire in his clothing without injury. According to Migne*, his relics rest at St Peter's Church at Troyes.
