SAINT MUSA, VIRGIN
Gregory the Great commemorates Saint Musa in his dialogues (IV. 17) and calls her a Roman virgin. She lived in great piety, and in an apparition of the Mother of God received an exhortation to humility and the announcement of her death, which would come thirty days later. The apparition repeated itself as Musa's end happened. With the words: "My Lady, behold I come!" the saint departed.
No other details are known about her than that she had a brother named Probus. Undoubtedly, she lived in the sixth century. Nothing is known of her tomb and relics, says Piazza*; only the example of her virginity and her sacred virtues remain.
