Saints celebrated on the 11th of May
SAINT SPINULUS, CONFESSOR
Saint Spinulus, a confessor, lived and died at St Blaise, but is also mentioned among the bishops of Trier [Treves].
If he was indeed a disciple of St Hildulfus, the silly legend (that his relics worked so many miracles that the bishop and abbot had to put a stop to it in order to get peace from the pilgrims) can be described as completely unfounded. His mortal remains were later transferred to Belval (near Chatel on the Moselle). (II. 612.)
St Spinulus is also commemorated on June 27, July 11, and August 1)
