Saints celebrated on the 19th of June
BLESSED ALRUNA, COUNTESS
The name Alruna (Aëldruna) is old German for "initiated into all mysteries" (runa), "very wise".
Blessed Alruna was a countess of Altaich in Lower Bavaria, and by the desire of her heart only (nonnisi desiderio) belonged to the Order of St Benedict. According to Bucelin*, who commemorates her on June 19, she is said to have glorified God with many miracles. She died on December 27, about the year 1040. (Mab.)
