Saints celebrated on the 29th of June
BLESSED ANGELINA OF SPOLETO, VIRGIN
Blessed Angelina was born in Spoleto in Umbria and in 1440 entered the convent of Saint Clare there. At that time her aunt Francisca was leading the community as abbess.
No biography of Angelina has come down to us, but in the convent church in Spoleto there is a sort of chapel with her picture on the altar and the story of her life on the walls, telling us that she not only helped the poor but also performed miracles. After having spent ten years in this religious house, she died, rich in merits, on June 29, 1450, at the age of twenty-five.
