Saints celebrated on the 30th of June
BLESSED HENRY OF VERONA, HERMIT
Blessed Henry (Henricus) lived in Verona in the first half of the 14th century and was therefore a contemporary of Saint Henry of Bozen (Baucenum, Bauzanum), who died in Treviso. He has often been confused with the latter, as he was born in Bolcano or Bolziano, a spot in the region of Verona, which is sometimes also called Bolzano, just as the town of Bozen in the Tyrol is also called Bolzano by the Italians.
Blessed Henry died in Verona in 1350. His relics, along with the instruments of penance are kept at the local church Chiesa di San Giovanni in Fonte.
