HERMES ENGLER, RELIGIOUS
Hermes, surnamed Engler, a Franciscan brother at Bruges in Flanders, died around the year 1634. He had to endure much suffering for his steadfastness in the faith; he was kept in prison by heretics for three years because he unwaveringly held on to the Catholic confession. (Hub. Men.)
