JOAN OF THE INCARNATION, VIRGIN

A page of one of Fortunatus Hueber's
Saints' books,
"Stammenbuch..." (1693)

Joan (Johanna) of the Incarnation was an Ursuline nun at Beaune, who died on July 20, 1646, but appears in the Ursuline Diary* on July 19. The biography consists almost entirely of an account of a rapture which she had in her last illness on July 7, in which she received explanations of the severity of divine justice. (Tagb. II. 116.)
