Saints celebrated on the 10th of June
JOHN OF SITHIU, RELIGIOUS
John (Johannes), a Benedictine monk at the monastery of Sithiu (S. Bertini), is thought to have flourished around A.D. 903. According to Bucelin*, who calls him "saint," he died in the year 890. John is mentioned once more by the same hagiographer on October 26, because this is a joined memorial day of all saints and blesseds, abbots as well as monks of Sithiu. Therefore, in Bucelin's Menology*, the most important names of this famous monastery are listed on that occasion.
