Saints celebrated on the 23th of June
LILIOSA, VIRGIN
Liliosa, a sister of the holy Bishop James (Jacobus) of Toul, is called by Saussayus* "virgo sacra". Little is known about her. She came to Dijon to visit the monastery of Saint Benignus and donated an estate called Bretancour (Brittiniacurtis) for her brother's burial place. This detail is related in the Life of the bishop James (on June 23). On this estate the monks built a church dedicated to Saint Benignus. The Bollandists* list Liliosa on June 23 among the praetermissi.
