Saints celebrated on the 12th of June
MARY OF THE CROSS, VIRGIN
Mary of the Cross (Maria a Cruce) belonged to the Order of Saint Dominic. It is said of her that in the time of the dreadful inflation, when the monastery could not afford food, she asked the help of the Blessed Virgin, whereupon the sisters received enough groceries to survive. At her death, the holy Mother of God and her spouse Saint Joseph appeared to her. She died at the age of 82 after having spent 70 years in the Order.
