SAINT AUSPICIUS, BISHOP OF TOUL
Saint Auspicius was a bishop of Toul who lived in the fifth century and, according to Sidonius Apollinaris, was distinguished by learning and holiness. Saint Auspicius died in A.D. 475 and was buried in the church of Saint Mansuet (French Mansuy). Bishop Richard of Albano, who was legate of the holy See, solemnly raised his mortal remains in A.D. 1107 and placed them in a reliquary coffin. (Mg.)
