SAINT JOHN, BISHOP OF JERUSALEM
Saint John, the seventh bishop of Jerusalem, but the first by that name, was a man full of virtue. Distinguished with the gift of miracles, he died in the year 116. Migne*, however, supposes the death of this holy patriarch to have occurred at the end of the 2nd century. Saint John is also mentioned by the Bollandists* - on August 23 and May 10.
