Saints celebrated on the 17th of June
SAINT SANCIA, VIRGIN
Saint Sancia (Sanctia) was a virgin of the Cistercian Order at Corvanho in Portugal, where she founded the Cella S. Mariae abbey near Coimbra (Lechner*).
She also donated a Franciscan monastery.
A daughter of King Sancius I and sister of Saint Tarafia, she lived about the middle of the 13th century.
Saint Sancia is also commemorated on March 13.
