THOMAS CORT, RELIGIOUS AND MARTYR
Thomas, surnamed Cort, of the Order of Saint Francis, a martyr in London, died of starvation in prison in A.D. 1538 under Henry VIII. We gather from Hueber's Menology* that he received an honourable burial in a consecrated place by order of the king. (Cal.)
