WERNHER, ABBOT OF WIBLINGEN
Wernher (Wernherus) was the first abbot of the Benedictine monastery Wiblingen (Kloster Wiblingen) near Ulm. Before being appointed, he had lived at the abbey of Saint Blaise (Sankt Blasien) in the Black Forest. At Wiblingen - as Lechner* writes in his martyrology - Wernher was full of grace before God and man. Following his death in A.D. 1126, miracles glorified his tomb.
