Saints celebrated on the 5th of July
BLESSED THOMAS BELSON, MARTYR
For his adherence to the Catholic faith, Thomas Belson, a lay martyr, was hanged in Oxford. His martyrdom took place in A.D. 1589 during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I. (Cal.)
[He was beatified on November 22, 1987 by Pope John Paul II.]
