ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN JANUARY
Saints celebrated on the 25th of January
John Baptist Casella, a Jesuit, was born on May 13, 1600 at Casaloldo near Asola, Diocese of Brescia. He lost his parents early, then served as a herdsman for his cousin Travagliato and was later put to work in the fields.
From then on he entered the service of the nuns of Castiglione and ran the business of going out, buying and gardening.
In 1626 he was received into the Society of Jesus at Novellara and trained to be a perfect religious until he died the death of the just on January 25, 1668 at Carpi (in Modena).
