ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN APRIL
Saints celebrated on the 8th of April
This servant of God, daughter of Hercules of Rohan, Princes of Soubige and Maria de Bretagne was born on January 6, 1629. She felt called to religious life and entered the monastery in 1644.
Maria Eleonora de Rohan made her vows on April 12, 1646. In 1651 she became abbess at the Trinity Monastery in Caen and in 1664 at Malnoue (coenobium Malanca) in Paris.
She shone wonderfully in every virtue, especially poverty, humility, patience in illness, and died godly on April 8, 1681, on Easter Sunday.
In her epitaph it says, among other things:
"As long as virgin brides of the single bridegroom live in this house, as long as there are Christians in the world and believers in the church, her memory will be blessed there."
(Gallia Chr n. VII. 592–594).
