Saints celebrated on the 1st of June
MATTHIAS LAMBRECHT, BISHOP OF BRUGES
Matthias Lambrecht, Bishop of Bruges, lived during the time of the Reformation. Expelled from Bruges as penitentiary and archdeacon, he went to Saint Omer, from where he returned in 1596 as bishop. He passed over to the Lord (migravit ad Dominum), after a life of piety and holy zeal, on June 1, 1602, in his sixty-third year of age. (Gal. Chr. a. V. 250).
