SAINT AGAPITUS, BISHOP OF SYNNADA
Saint Agapitus was bishop of Synnada in Phrygia and famous in his day for the many miracles that happened through him. Since the Emperor Maximin wanted to have him killed as a magician, he escaped his rage by fleeing and died unchallenged in peace. The church historian Eusebius mentions his miracles, and his name is listed in the Roman Martyrology* on March 24.
